Captiva Island is quite different from other Florida beaches in that it isn't built up with city life. Weather and Geography

Captiva Island is located on the Gulf of Mexico on the western side of Florida just north of its sister island, Sanibel Island. Weather is typically sunny and warm but this part of Florida is known to get most of its rainfall in the summertime so don't forget your umbrella.
