    Located in Florence's historic center, right behind Piazza della Signoria, just a stone's throw from the Uffizi and Florence's main historical attractions, Bernini Palace Hotel is an ideal point to set out from in order to discover the art treasures of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is a historical building dating back to the fifteenth century build in classic Florentine style, with stringcourses around the walls and wooden shutters, giving it a charming antique appearance. The Hotel Bernini Palace, is a cosy refined hotel, immersed in the magical atmosphere of the Florence of the Medici family. It has all the charm of a warm, elegant private residence. The Bernini Palace Hotel has just undergone a huge refurbishment which has further enhanced the hotel with a new lobby, bar and restyled first floor renamed The Tuscan Floor. The Tuscan Floor is reminiscent of old world Tuscan colours and themes, very warm and inviting. The new design incorporates beautiful terracotta floors in warm glowing shades of reds and oranges, coffered ceilings, four poster beds, along with rich fabrics and objects recreating a romantic interpretation of 15th century Florence. NOTE - US Airways offers flight service into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), which is located approximately 143 miles from Florence. Transportation to/from Florence is not included in the price. Train tickets to/from Florence can be purchased at the train station office at the Rome Fiuimicino Airport at an approximate one-way cost of $83.00 for First Class or $38.00 for Standard Class (prices subject to change). The new Lounge Bar is an exclusive place where you can savour appetizing dishes, masterly prepared cocktails as well as being able to relax in a charming ambience where the traditional Tuscan furniture blends in with contemporary design. However, the Lounge Bar's versatile room makes it also a great restaurant - run by Chef Damiano Berlingeri - boasting an innovative menu, both national and international, from Monday to Saturday. The menu changes on a monthly basis. And last but surely not least, the best tea and cakes, also made by Chef Berlingeri, will be served every afternoon. The Lounge Bar will then become a meeting place for an aperitif accompanied by tapas and Asian finger-food such as sushi and tamaki.
